My Disc Is Bigger Than Yours

Saw TRON Legacy this weekend. First time I’ve been to a theater since Star Wars Episode III, and the first time I’ve seen a modern 3D movie implementation, period. (Assuming the re-release of Captain EO a few months back doesn’t count.)

Loved the movie, thought it was a great sequel. CG Jeff Bridges would be my only complaint, I guess the technology isn’t quite there yet after all, because something in my mind was consistently not sold on CLU being a real person. LOVED all of the visuals otherwise, and of course I couldn’t keep my eyes off all the SUPER HAWT TECHNO CHIX. Quorra, especially.

I tried to order these badass Eric Tan posters (below) earlier in the week from Mondo, but of course they sold out in seconds, and I’m still bitter about it. However, the true HOLY GRAIL POSTER CHALLENGE happens today, as I try and get hold of Olly Moss’ Star Wars Trilogy Posters (see gallery images below). It’s probably a worthless cause [ UPDATE: It was a worthless cause. ], but dammit, I’m going to try. Even if I have to refresh all day long. Olly Moss is the modern day Saul Bass of clever, clean and classic poster design, and these are his best designs yet, in my opinion. Wish me luck.
